Past developments

March 5, 2008 Gorge Policy Day meeting to present and receive public comment on the proposed strategies to improve visibility in the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. The draft Gorge Strategy Document chronicles the study’s history, summarizes the available science, describes existing state and federal emission reduction strategies that will improve air quality regionally, and highlights new initiatives that will improve visibility further in the Gorge.

September 25, 2007 Gorge Science Day workshop to discuss scientific studies relevant to visibility in the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. The workshop included summary findings of the 5-year technical study conducted by DEQ and SWCAA.
