Gorge Science Day - September 25, 2007 Hood River, ORGorge Science Summary Day was a public workshop in Hood River, OR, to discuss scientific studies relevant to visibility in the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. The workshop included summary findings of the 5-year technical study conducted by DEQ and SWCAA. It also include information from other air quality studies, including work by the U.S. Forest Service, the Yakama Nation, and Klickitat County. DEQ and SWCAA presented a draft of its Gorge Science Summary Report for review and discussion by workshop participants including opportunities for comments and questions from the public. The summary report provided an overview of visibility research performed in the Gorge.
